💬 Elizabeth’s Story

6 Kids, Baseball Practice… and a Surprise Call from a Seller

Elizabeth is a single mom of six (yes, 6 kids) all in sports.

Between bouncing between baseball games and soccer fields, she got a completely unexpected call from a CPA firm seller. No prep. No scheduled meeting. Just a surprise, “I hear you might want to buy my firm…”

She didn’t freeze. She didn’t panic.

Instead, Elizabeth leaned into the exact conversation framework we taught her.

She kept it simple, honest, and relational:
✔️ “I don’t want to change anything.”
✔️ “I want to carry your legacy forward.”
✔️ “Let’s treat this like a partnership where you stay on for a season or two.”

The seller immediately softened. By the end of the 15-minute call, she said, “You have some really good ideas.”  They agreed to reconnect after tax season and Elizabeth is now first in line for an LOI.

Elizabeth told me:

“All the things you told me to say… I just did them. And it worked.”

Elizabeth had no prior M&A experience. Just a desire to grow and a proven system behind her. She didn't pitch. She didn’t overthink. She just followed the play.

And if a busy single mom of 6 can do that on the fly what’s stopping you?
